Thank you for taking an interest in our locally grown Flowers for Florists service.
British grown flowers are becoming increasingly popular, and we’re pleased to be able to offer flowers to florists at trade price.
How does the Flowers for Florists service work?
The majority of our flower availability takes the form of mixed buckets. These contain our choice of at least 60 assorted stems of the varieties looking best at the time of harvesting. Every Friday, you will receive an email updating you on the current situation with our flowers and letting you know what is at its best and likely to be in the mixed buckets. We will also advertise any single variety bunches we have available. The email will contain a link to the webshop listing for florists as well as the password you need to access it. After sending out the email, we will update the webshop listing with availability for the coming week. Sometimes availability is limited so this is a first come first served system and the product will show as sold out when no longer available. Flowers will be available by contactless collection from Liz’s home in The Reddings, Cheltenham (full address and details provided after checkout). You will be asked to select a collection day and time slot when ordering.
Yes we will need to see evidence of an active business website and you will need to sign up with a business email address. Any personal looking email address (e.g. email@example.com) will be removed from the list
What days will flowers be available?
During the spring season (Feb-April), when most of the flowers are grown from bulbs and need to be harvested every day and cold stored, flowers are available 7 days a week. In the summer season (May-November), flowers will be cut to order and will be available for collection from Monday-Friday.
Can I pre-order flowers?
Owing to a huge rise in demand and in an attempt to make a fair system where everyone gets a chance to order, we are not taking pre-orders for flowers. The ‘Flowers for Florists’ webshop listing will be updated on Fridays after the availability email has been sent out. It will then be first come first served.
Your website says the flowers are out of stock. Is this correct?
Yes. Our webshop is kept up to date with flower availability. We’ve experienced a rise in demand this year which means we are sometimes selling out very quickly. Flower supply varies with the time of year and the weather and there are certain times when availability is limited. If flowers become available mid week, the listing will be updated to reflect this. Occasionally, specials come up for sale at short notice and these will be advertised on our Instagram stories (@cotswoldposypatch)
Can I visit the flower plot to see what you have and choose the flowers I want?
Unfortunately due to the pressures of the growing season, we are not able to accommodate visitors and do not offer this bespoke service. We will arrange an open day for Florists during the growing season when you will be welcome to come and see what we do. Details of this will be sent out in the Friday availability emails.
Do you grow to order, or accept bespoke orders?
Unfortunately due to space constraints we are not able to grow for specific customer orders or cater for bespoke requests. Anything we have available will be on the Flowers for Florists listing in our webshop or on our Instagram stories. If it isn’t listed, it isn’t currently available.
Can you guarantee a colour palette for a mixed bucket and can I specify which varieties I want?
We will try to include as many flowers as possible in the colours you have requested (in the order note box at checkout) but we cannot guarantee it or accommodate specific variety requests. The small size of our plot and the need to provide flowers over a long season means we only have small quantities of a lot of different varieties and colours so we may not have enough of a specific type on a given day.
Do you deliver?
We are only able to offer collection from Liz’s home in The Reddings, Cheltenham at this time.
Are the flowers fully conditioned by the time I collect them?
Yes. The flowers are cut at the perfect stage, thoroughly conditioned and ready for you to arrange.
Do I need to bring my own buckets?
Yes please, if you can bring your own buckets to decant the flowers into that really helps us.
Thank you for taking the time to read these FAQs. We hope they help to clarify the current system. We’re always trying to improve it to ensure that all our customers have a chance to buy our flowers whilst at the same time enabling us to work in a way that is sustainable and allows us to keep bringing you beautiful, seasonal blooms.
