The Flower Plots

Until October 2021, Cotswold Posy Patch was based at a rented plot of land at Primrose Vale PYO Farm, nestled in the heart of the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside. There, with the help of a dedicated team of freelancers and volunteers, I grew a host of annual, perennial and bulb varieties, all of which were chosen for their beauty, delicacy, scent and because they made excellent cut flowers. There was a large commercial polytunnel on the plot which allowed us to extend the flower season from March to November plus an outside area with more growing beds.

The plot has now passed into new hands and I will be taking a step back from commercial growing in order to redesign my woefully neglected home garden. Over the next couple of years, I will be developing the space into a cutting garden that I hope to share with attendees at future ‘Grow your own cut flowers’ workshops, showing them how a home garden can be both beautiful and productive. I’ll be documenting the progress of the garden and will be sharing it on the blog here and on Cotswold Posy Patch’s social media – watch this space.
